At Elmwood 1820, we want every guest to have the information they need to ensure our historic inn is the right fit for their visit.
Because the inn dates back to 1820, some architectural features reflect its historic character and may present challenges for guests with certain mobility needs. If you have questions before booking, we encourage you to contact us. We'll gladly discuss the property and help you determine whether it meets your accessibility needs. Accessibility at the Inn
The main entrance includes five exterior steps, followed by one additional step at the front door. There is no ramp.
One guest room, The Gardener, is located on the first floor. All other guest rooms are on the second floor and are accessible only by staircase. There is no elevator. The Gardener features a wheelchair-accessible bathroom. Additional grab rails can be provided upon request.
The dining room and other shared indoor common spaces are located on the first floor and can be accessed without additional interior steps. Breakfast can also be delivered to your room.
Interior doorways are wide and provide generous turning space throughout the first-floor common areas.
Trained service animals are welcome. If you plan to travel with a service animal, please get in touch with us before your visit so we can answer any questions and help ensure the most comfortable stay possible.
